Honeymoon Journal

Friday, June 2:
We reached London, dropped off our car, and found yet another expensive Heathrow airport. We decided to deposit our luggage early, caught a bite at McDonald's, and took a very slow tube back into the city so we could catch "Hamlet" at the Globe. We were a bit late, but immensely enjoyed the show itself; we opted for standing room, along with the other peasants, and it made the experience unique in itself (and very personal). It was Shakespeare as intended, and the staging and interpretation made interesting use of the theatre's design. Four hours of standing was a bit tiring, though; everyone collapsed between the acts. We ate a "nouveau" organic pizza dinner, watched some of the nightlife mill through Kensington, and went to well-earned bed.

Saturday, June 3:
Woke up very early, got to the airport, waited in long lines, and finally got on the plane. The flight was different this time, being midday, and so I spent the whole ride wanting to be home, playing Super Mario, and watching some movies. We got in, caught a very, very slow bus to Portage, and couldn't get in touch with anyone to pick us up. After an hour, we gave up and called a taxi to take up to Tom's dad's, did some laundry there, and crashed. Tom's dad showed up a few hours later; it turned out that he thought we were coming home on Sunday.

Sunday, June 4th:

Ate breakfast, packed up our wedding stuff, and drove home! Cuddled my cat, cleaned, cleaned, cleaned, and slept.
