Knocking on wood….

I don’t want to jinx us, here, but Haley has actually managed to sleep in her own bed for two consecutive nights, only requiring a couple visits from us. Something went wrong with her sleep habits early on and we never quite managed to address it successfully, no matter what we tried; as a consequence, she’s spent the last four years of her life crawling into bed with us around 11 at night — at which point further sleep was often quite impossible (albeit in a very adorable, snuggly way.) I cannot begin to describe how incredibly liberating it is to wake up without bruises patterning my midsection from rabbit kicks, or even to be able to sleep three or four hours in a row without interruption.

(By the way, her favorite sleep position — when in our bed, at least? The H, as shown below. Allow me a brief shudder, here.)
